Bartley’s work first appeared in the pages of the Fashion Industry’s leading avant-garde publications, including Dazed & Confused and The Face.

Influenced by his passion for cinema, Bartley’s approach to stills photography was shaped by his use of film lighting techniques, narrative, character building, set design, props, and special effects.

Bartley’s photographs have been featured in publications including British Vogue, Elle US, Elle France, AnOther Magazine, Departures, Numero, and Vogue Portugal. He has also photographed advertising campaigns for Dior, Chopard. Max Factor, Equinox, Tod’s, Jean Paul Gaultier, Bulgari, Anna Sui, and Diesel, among others.

Bartley’s directorial credits include a series of short films entitled Near Yonder, recently presented on NOWNESS; motion campaigns for Equinox & Chopard; and a documentary short for Vogue China about the pioneering artist and architect, Gaetano Pesce.

Bartley lives between New York and Paris.
